Decisiveness at its finest

One of my favorite people in the whole world suggested I watch Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House, a 1948 Cary Grant/Myrna Loy comedy. Although I have yet to watch the movie in its entirety, she was able to send me a snippet of the part she thought reminded her most of me when I write about choosing house colors.

No offense Pat, but I fail to see too much of a similarity. Although Myrna Loy and I are both extremely picky, Myrna Loy knew exactly what she wanted; whereas I seem to change my mind on a pretty regular basis. I can only hope that one day I too will be so decisive.

I love the clip though, and can't wait to go and rent the movie.

Thanks Pat. You're the best!

I think you and Myrna Loy put me in mind of each other because you're both just so darn cute!

The movie stared replaying in my head when I read your post of July 25 where you described some of your color considerations. Reread it and see if you don't see what I mean. When you say peachy... and mustardy...I can just hear her describing her color selections. And haven't all of us weekend decorator warriors worried ourselves to pieces over our color selections and our husband (or someone) walkes in and says; "Oh, green, (red, blue, white, red, or whatever) nice." They seem to boil it down to something so basic after we have fretted, analyzed it endlessly, and finally picked an amazing color.
But, I know your final choices,(due today, right?)will be beautiful and you will have the prettiest house on the block. I am looking forward to seeing it all unfold and present itself on your wonderful blog. Have fun!

Oh my gosh - I am going to have to rent that movie - I can relate waaaaay to much to her color-choosing methods (much to my husband's dismay!)
